Samuel P. Livingstone

Good Day! This is Samuel P. Livingstone, retired attorney. For 20 years he was a partner at Deedle,Livingstone, and Pinkfeffer. He once defended a woman who was wearing false teeth without her husbands written permission, it is illegal to do so in Vermont. His case was simple! He proved she was indeed a man!

Though he misses the court room he is glad to spend his free time watching paint dry and grass grow, Even though he's a homebody these days he still wakes up at 5am and puts on a snazzy tie, he says he feels naked without one.

Ramble

Blargh! This week has kicked my ass and today was no exception. Woke up to the alarm at 9am, what a godawful sound, it's been a couple months since I've needed to set it. Then i quickly scrambled around the house trying to get ready, guppy barfed at the last minute and i was cleaning it up when my sister got here so I left without eating...oops I realized this about 30min into working out when I felt funny. I went across the street to New Leaf, they only had greeeen bananas :/ so i got a kids cliff bar.the only one out of 50 kinds that didnt sound like a rich dessert, I do not want that in the morning. Drank coffee,waited for sis, then headed home.Got home, hopped in the shower, then headed downtown for lunch and stuff. Then the drugstore,craft store, and groceries. We relaxed at home for a bit before we picked up Acacia to take her to the mall. She loves the fountain!! We gave her a roll of pennies and she was in heaven. Back to my sister's to give the bub a bath. Before that i wanted to show A that thing where you draw eyes on your chin and then cover the rest of your face up, she wasn't too interested and instead wanted to draw on my face, which i of course let her do :) Then she drew a beard on herself "like Ed" and I drew a little curly mustache to match. She looked at herself in the mirror for maybe 20 minutes, trying on ed's glasses and loving her new look :) I took pics with my phone but sadly left it over there so those will have to wait till tomorrow.

I still have lots to do tonight, mainly getting orders ready and finished some items for the shop. Wish me luck!

We just back from Harts and kinkos. Oh man I can't wait to use this fabric. We have been super productive lately! I have no poilus in my shop! We'll be making our new gocco prints tonight, so I'll post those later.

My sister joined my gym today! I'm so excited to have her for my workout buddy. We've got a date for 9:30am tomorrow!

Happy MLK day!

My mom tells me when I was a baby I was obsessed with black people, in person on tv, and I always preferred black dolls,much to the confusion of my great grandma. My crushes in elementary school were always on black boys, I had a massive crush on a boy names Heavy with a perfectly sculpted flat top. Every lunchtime his friend would taunt me with "jungle feeeeever".
Something in me must have known I was gonna turn into a fat white lady.

I think I was in 3rd grade, maybe younger, at school we made a mini MLK book. For some reason I kept in in the middle console in the backseat of our car with ripped up kleenex for as long as we had the car it was MLK's grave. Strange child.

I think 2 years ago on this day or maybe it was just Black History Month I was working at a middle school where they had their own little tv station. They had put together a montage of famous african americans and played it during the first period. At the end it said, "Do something nice for an African American today". I was in total shock, surveying the room to see if the kids realized how horrendous that was,paying close attention to the one black kid in the class, maybe 1-5 in the school. Yep everyone knew it was bad, it was retracted the next day.

Not much going on. I had I woke up with a horrid migraine at 5am on Saturday morning. After caffeine,naps,allergy pills, and a darvaset it went away. Now Ed's sick :/ I'm gonna spend some time with my sis later and be of help during a trip to costco. I haven't felt much like sewing during the day, it kicks in later in the evening. Yesterday I walked 1.4 miles to the gym and worked out for a 1/2 hour, including 5 miles in 7 min./level 5 on the recumbent bike. I'm only a lil sore in the tush today. My mom is visiting my grandma and uncle, it's been 3 days :( come home mother<3

We just ordered this bad boy, a 1" button maker! and 1000 buttons, JOY! I will be making a buttload for IGF! Can't wait to try iiiiit.

Gocco prints and interview!

Here are me and Ed's first Gocco prints! Mine turned out sort of lame because we didn't clean the glass before burning the image, we did before Ed printed and you can see all his details, lesson learned! We just got more screens and bulbs so more printing is on the agenda for this weekend.


I did these a few days after the blue owl, when Ed was doing his. I stored my screen in a ziplock bag in the fridge. I really like this one, it reminds me of a gasoline puddle on asphalt.

Drugs,drugs,drugs....Haha Ummm I would first get my arms all sleeved up and put the rest down on a house! Sadly in Santa Cruz that chunk of change wouldn't make much of a dent, so maybe I'd buy a house in Portland,OR instead.

2. If you had a baby right now, what would you name it?
Hmm lessee...that's a frightening thought, but I always have names just incase:) For a girl: Dahlia Alice, for a boy: Sailor (undecided on a middle name, or perhaps that would be the middle name)....

3. What is your favorite material to work with and why?
My favorite material is definitely fleece, it's so easy to work with and very forgiving, there are so many colors, and different levels of fuzziness. I LOVE FLEECE!

4. If you weren't a plush toy designer, what craft would you take up?
Hmmm I would love to try my hand at ceramics! I've watched my mom sculpt and fire amazing things and I think it would be fulfilling in the same way as sewing toys.

5. What is your favorite color and why?
I really had to think about this one! I guess I'd go with blue. I wear it the most, i subconsciously buy a lot of blue things, and the dominant color in my collection of fleece is blue.
